Good questions. Straight answers.

The essentials about FOOD2050 — what it does, who it's for and how it fits into a working kitchen. No jargon, no fine print.

FOOD2050 is a recipe intelligence platform for professional kitchens. It reads your recipes, tells you what's inside them, and shows you how to make them better — for the climate, for health, and for your margin.

You upload your recipes, we do the analysis, and you get concrete suggestions you can actually cook.

Anyone who serves food at scale: company restaurants, school and university canteens, hospitals, care homes and caterers. If you plan menus for hundreds of people a day, this is built for you.

It's one workflow: Upload your recipes, Analyze their health, climate and cost scores, Optimize them with small ingredient swaps, Plan better menus, Publish them to screens, QR and your website, and Engage your guests with real numbers.

Every recipe gets a Health score and a Climate score from 0 to 100. Both are built on open research, developed with partners like ZHAW, the University of Bern and Eaternity. No black box — the methodology is public on our Science page.

No. FOOD2050 works on its own — a spreadsheet of recipes is enough to start. If you want, you can also import sales figures from your POS, so planning reflects what your guests actually buy.

If you're not tied to an ERP integration, you can start right away — no setup call required.

Upload your recipes and you're working. For a handful of recipes that's about five minutes; a larger dataset takes a few hours. Either way, you see your first scores the same day.

In real deployments, kitchens cut the CO₂ of their menus by up to 15% a year and serve noticeably more balanced meals — without redesigning the menu from scratch. Just better versions of dishes your guests already love.
